Under-coach luggage compartments have limited capacity and need to accommodate all passengers’ luggage!
For safety, coaches are subject to maximum weight restrictions when fully loaded with passengers and luggage.
Per-person luggage allowance is limited to one small-medium bag to stow in the under-coach luggage compartment during transit, and a small back-pack to bring on-board the coach.
Extra large suitcases may not fit in the coach luggage compartment.
Kindly opt for bottled water on board our coaches to avoid any sticky spills that may soil seat fabric and clothing.
We schedule regular stops for morning tea and lunches, limiting the need to consume food on board the coach.
While the occasional lolly to suck is acceptable, please refrain from chewing gum.
Here are some ways to minimise the risk of feeling unwell:
Eat a small amount of simple, plain food before travel on your first day. A good option is toast, with juice or water.
Avoid eating a ‘big breakfast’, greasy food such as bacon, or lots of dairy. Eating too many lollies will also cause you to feel unwell on long coach journeys.
If you begin to feel unwell, quickly tell an adult so that they can help you.
Seat belts are required to be worn by law and must be kept fastened for the duration of each coach journey.
Toilets on board coaches have limited capacity and are for emergency situations only.
Regular comfort stops are scheduled in each itinerary and we encourage all passengers to use public facilities at each comfort stop.
Your school will advise whether students are permitted to bring cameras, phones and other devices on your excursion.
Cameras are generally permitted in most places in Canberra, but there are some exceptions, which your driver will explain.
Students are responsible for all such items they bring.
Backpacks are prohibited in many locations we visit, especially at the War Memorial, to prevent accidental damage to paintings and displays. You can securely leave them on the locked coach.
